The Dale Wescott Award for High School Students

 

The Photography Club of Beaufort’s Dale Westcott Memorial Award given annually for the best nature photograph submitted by a local high school student. The award is in memory of Dale Westcott, one of the original members of the photography club and a life-long educator. All area high schools may participate as well as students who are home schooled. Each year the club looks forward to seeing the work of up-and-coming photographers. The judging takes place at the club’s December meeting and awards are presented at the January meeting.

All winners received ribbons. Through the on-going support of Mrs. Dale (Barbara) Westcott, the 1st Place winner is awarded $100. The Photography Club of Beaufort awards $75 for 2nd Place; $50 for 3rd Place. If Honorable Mentions are chosen, they receive $25 awards.
